Jura Refresh is written and edited locally, with reporting trips by train and bike between Delémont, Porrentruy, and the Jura bernois. We prize multilingual awareness (FR/DE/IT/RM) and select stories that improve practical choices—routes, schedules, permits, and community spaces. Our coverage list is set weekly in an open pitch meeting; we prioritise items with clear public-service value and reliable sourcing.

How we verify

We rely on dated primary materials from Swiss institutions: FSO/BFS releases, federal and cantonal portals (admin.com domains), public-service media (SRF/RTS/RSI), city and commune sites, and MeteoSwiss. Each article cites source and month/year inside the text. Corrections are noted at the foot of the article with a timestamp. We operate independently; sponsors do not influence editorial selection or wording.

We elevate voices from Switzerland’s Jura Arc and tie them to national developments. We care about clear language, practical detail, and the dignity of small places—villages as much as cantonal capitals. Our goal is simple: enable smarter everyday decisions for life in Switzerland.

Our editors have backgrounds in local reporting, cartography, cultural programming, and transport policy. Collectively we work in DE/FR/IT/EN and commission occasional RM translations for regional stories. We value accuracy, calm tone, and the craft of explanatory journalism.
